TOKYO (REUTERS) – Typhoon Noru raked Japan’s main island of Honshu with heavy rains and strong winds on Tuesday (Aug 8), despite being downgraded to a tropical storm, flooding rivers and prompting the evacuation of thousands at one point, but staying well away from Tokyo.
