Bangladesh minister calls violence a ‘genocide’

DHAKA • Bangladesh’s Foreign Minister said yesterday that genocide was being committed in Myanmar’s violence-racked Rakhine state, triggering an exodus of nearly 300,000 Muslim Rohingya refugees to his country.
