Japan raises alert level for Shinmoe volcano after small eruption

TOKYO (REUTERS) – The alert level for Shinmoe, a volcano in Japan’s south-western Kyushu region, has been raised to 3 on a scale 5 after a small-scale eruption on Wednesday (Oct 11), the Japan Meterological Agency said.
