North Korea says can withstand sanctions, accuses US of blocking development

UNITED NATIONS (AFP) – North Korea’s UN envoy accused the United States on Tuesday (Oct 3) of working to block economic development and denounced sanctions imposed on poor countries as a bid to “destroy modern civilisation”.
