Human form of ‘mad cow’ disease detectable in skin: Study

MIAMI (AFP) – Abnormal proteins involved in the brain-destroying Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD), a human form of “mad cow” disease, are detectable in the skin, researchers said on Wednesday, raising new concerns about transmission.
