It is snowing ash in Guinobatan town, in Albay province, south of Manila in the Philippines, as the Mayon volcano spewed millions of tonnes of ash, rock, lava and debris in less than three weeks. Much of the debris is loosely lodged on the volcano’s burnt slopes, and experts warn it could be dislodged by heavy rain.
