China to propose scraping limits on president’s term, paving way for Xi to stay on beyond 2023

BEIJING – China’s Communist Party has proposed scrapping the Constitutional restriction on the maximum number of terms the country’s president and vice-president can serve, Xinhua news agency reported on Sunday (Feb 25).
