Former Thai PM Yingluck’s S$4.6 million mansion among assets seized over rice-pledging case

BANGKOK (THE NATION/ASIA NEWS NETWORK) – Thailand’s former prime minister Yingluck Shinawatra’s Bt110-million (S$4.6 million) mansion in Bangkok is among more than 30 of her assets that have been confiscated to pay the compensation demanded from her for damages stemming from her government’s rice-pledging scheme, her lawyer said on Wednesday (Jan 31).
