TOKYO (AFP) – Efforts to relocate a US air base on Japan’s Okinawa appeared to move a step forward on Sunday (Feb 4), more than two decades after they began, with the electoral victory of a new mayor backed by Prime Minister Shinzo Abe’s ruling bloc.
