Japan’s defence minister Itsunori Onodera says US-South Korea military drills ‘vital’

TOKYO (REUTERS) – Japan’s defence chief said on Wednesday (June 13) the US military’s presence in South Korea and joint military exercises were “vital” for East Asian security after US President Donald Trump’s surprise statement that he would halt war games with the South.
