Maldives opposition candidate says he has won presidential election

MALE (REUTERS) – Maldives opposition candidate Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, who fought a bitter election campaign against President Abdulla Yameen, said that he had won Sunday’s (Sept 23) presidential vote with a 16 per cent margin after 92 per cent of votes had been counted.
