Myanmar torches illegal wildlife stockpile to deter smugglers

YANGON (REUTERS) – Myanmar authorities destroyed hundreds of seized elephant tusks, pangolin scales and other animal parts, worth a total of US$1.3 million (S$1.79 million) on the black market, on Thursday (Oct 4) as part of a crackdown on illegal wildlife trafficking.
