Kashmir locked down as India seeks to stifle protests after killings

SRINAGAR (REUTERS) – Indian authorities put separatist leaders in the disputed Kashmir region under house arrest on Monday (Dec 17) while police sealed off roads in an effort to stifle protests against the killing of civilians on the weekend.
