Ousted Pakistani PM Sharif gets seven years’ jail for graft

ISLAMABAD (REUTERS) – Former Pakistani prime minister Nawaz Sharif was sentenced to seven years in prison on Monday (Dec 24) and fined US$25 million (S$34 million) on corruption charges that he says were politically motivated.
