Taiwan urges China to use peaceful means to resolve differences

TAIPEI • China must use peaceful means to resolve its differences with Taiwan and respect its democratic values, Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen said yesterday, ahead of a major speech about the island by Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing.
