Australia signs massive submarine deal with French firm

CANBERRA (AFP) – Australia formally signed a A$50 billion (S$48 billion) contract with France to build 12 state of the art submarines on Monday (Feb 11), a signal of the country’s willingness to project power across the Pacific.
