Oscar-winner Geoffrey Rush wins defamation case against News Corp’s Australian arm

SYDNEY (REUTERS) – Oscar-winner Geoffrey Rush on Thursday (April 11) won initial damages of A$850,000 (S$821,865) after a court ruled that the Australian arm of News Corp defamed him by saying he behaved inappropriately toward a co-star in a production of King Lear.
