Asia the bright spot in the global economy as it works for open trade: Heng Swee Keat

NEW DELHI – Singapore’s finance minister Heng Swee Keat expressed hope that negotiations for the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) would be concluded by the end of the year, saying it would be a “concrete show” of commitment to open trade at a time of growing protectionism.
