Japan seeks upgraded whaling ship in sign hunts will continue

TOKYO (AFP) – Japan is considering upgrading its ageing lead whaling ship, a fisheries official confirmed Wednesday (Jan 24), in a sign that the country’s controversial Antarctic hunts will continue despite international protests.
